    This changed our lives

This bark collar has changed my life and my neighbors thank me for buying it all the time I lost it for a couple days and they were not happy they really appreciate this product I found it in the yard unfortunately it had rained for 2 days straight when I brought it inside it still worked so it is definitely water resistant it is very easy to use it has a large range of adjustment it is not heavy and the prongs are not rough or pokey on my dog they are just there it holds a charge for about 14 days like it says after that I just recharge it I would buy this again and again I love the fact that it is a no shock collar and that it has different settings for the intensity of the beeping vibrations it when I get ready to leave and I grab it my dog immediately just stops I know it doesn't hurt him it just startles him but he knows not to go crazy barking the clip on it does not wear very easily or at all it seems very strong and durable I love the little covers on the prongs

Battery lasts and noise level is effective

The quality of this collar for deterring barking is great. The collar is easily adjusted and works for our 60 pound lab up to 120 pound Great Pyrenees. The noise pitch changes as the dog continues to bark and the vibration Option works well. The appearance of the collar has held up well after a lot of use and it is very easy to switch the settings on the collar. It charges quickly and the battery lasts surprisingly a very long time. Several days of use.I would recommend this collar for mild behavior modification from excessive barking. It is quite sensitive and if other dogs bark, the collar will noise alert or vibrate depending on setting which is why I’m not giving it 5 stars .

    Very Effective

My pup is a yapper when he gets excited, which can be very irritating. He also raises holy hell when I have to leave him alone in my apartment...I've received phone calls from neighbors while at doctor appointments because they feared I was unconscious on the floor, with the dog raising an uninterrupted racket. This vibrating collar worked immediately...I put it on him the first time and he only barked twice the entire day. It doesn't seem to traumatize him, he just gets a puzzled look on his face when the collar is activated. The only drawback is that sometimes when he's playing with his pals, one of them might bark and trigger the collar...when that happens, he gives me the stink eye like he's accusing me of abuse. It's a great device...although my beast perhaps isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, he immediately understood the connection between barking and getting unpleasantly tickled. Well worth 30 bucks.

    Easy, and they absolutely work!

My two terriers are beautiful, chaotic babies. They are LOUD, they escalate barking, and it is way too much chaos for an apartment. My wife and I were getting so stressed and overstimulated from the barking at every single noise. I finally got annoyed and bought these. They arrived quickly, seem to be very nice! I tested them out and they worked great. I put them on, and they’ve had the collars on a low level since 12pm. It’s now almost 9pm and the girls are DIFFERENT DOGS. they are chill, relaxed, and only barked once and it was very very short. The buzzing and beeping kicked in immediately, and the girls stopped barking and laid down! they are adjustable, look really good with the little bone, and are super easy to use. I don’t know about waterproof bc my dogs hate water so we likely won’t use that, but they are certainly nice! And my #1 requirement was no shocking and no remote to zap them. I wanted a HUMANE way to curb barking and this is perfect- one of the most humane with just a beep and a vibration. And it works! It also adjusts sensitivity too which helps a lot. Very much worth the money for our sanity! The girls will not wear them constantly, just when it’s most common times for them to bark, so they will get breaks. But I’m so glad these exist!

Used return product that was sold as New product.

Received 3 of these , a BLUE collar, a PINK collar and a ORANGE collar, and the BLUE collar product... well, was expecting a new one like the PINK and ORANGE collar.. but I didn't. The BLUE collar was already trimmed as it was fraying. Well, before I had noticed that, I tried it on my little furry companion and actually had to take it in, so I was grateful before finding the trimmed collar, as I'm sure I'd be disappointed having a larger dog and needing to return it for another. Out of fairness, I should be compensated for the BLUE 'trimmed' collar as it was obviously a used product, when I orded a new product. SMH.

Great Bark Deterrent Collar for Busy Dog Moms!

I love this dog bark collar!!The story: I am a dog mom of two large dogs (one is a catahoula and the other is a border collie whippet mix). Both are so spoiled and loved, and they are used to living their best life. Over COVID, I lived in a household where three of us worked remotely from home. It was so stressful, and the dogs barking at an Amazon van made a stressful day so much worse. I love my dogs, so I did not want anything harsh or harmful that would hurt them (no shock collars). This vibrating collar was the perfect find.Functionality: It works really well. It vibrates uncomfortably on the dogs' neck when they bark. It 100% stopped them barking at nothing (vans, buses, some rando walking by). I have never had any issue with it going off accidentally (when the dog didn't bark). We did use the highest setting (it gives you options).Shock Level: No shock, vibration only. Gentle and perfect for your spoiled, sweet, furry friend.Training tool: I was just trying to stop the barking, so I did not purchase this with the intention of using it for training. I just needed the barking to stop. For my dogs, they are themselves (bark like before) when the collar isn't on. If someone has to jump on a remote meeting from home, then we just put the collars on.PROS: Gentle (no shock), fits different dogs well (my dogs are both 70 lbs but one is stockier than the other), different intensity levels, easy to set up, easy to put on, can put it on and leave dogs normal collar on, spoiled dogs tolerate it well, stops unwanted barking almost instantly.CONS: Needs charging regularly, I keep losing the collar and the charger (but that's a personal problem), no app connection (like some shock collars), no property boundaries (like some shock collars). In summary, this is a simple, easy to use gentle alternative to a shock collar that does its job (deters dogs from barking when they are wearing the collar).

This collar saved our sanity 😅 and honestly made my dog happier!

This collar is the perfect humane (vibrate only) automated anti-bark collar. We have a medium-sized Havapoo who recently discovered the curtains on the window facing the road open up where he can look out into the world as much as he wants. However, he got in the habit of barking loudly at anything he spotted that alarmed him. He's not been the easiest to train so I knew teaching him "Quiet" or anything like that was going to be difficult. Whenever he started barking, one of us would usually have to get up and close the window curtains and occasionally he wouldn't settle back down and we'd have to put him in the crate. He loved spending hours by the window watching the world while I did things around the house and it offered great entertainment for him where I wasn't worried about him getting into anything as well. But as his barking spells got worse, we weren't sure how long we could deal with it without losing our sanity 😅That's why I'm so glad I found this collar. The second he does a loud bark, it beeps and vibrates and he quiets down immediately! (And he usually stays quiet too after that - unless there's a dog outside, in which case, he switches to whines/ growls which we're chill with 😂). It doesn't set off with his quieter woofs either which is fine with us since the little woofs are kinda cute and are good to alert us that the mail is coming or things like that.Notes: the sensitivity levels have worked really well so far. We usually leave it somewhere around 1, 2, or 3. Haven’t had issues with the TV or other external sounds setting it off really. It did go off once though when I was holding our dog in my arms and shouted for my husband - I’m guessing because I was too close to the collar. We just lowered the sensitivity down and it’s extremely rare that anything happensTbh recently our dog simply wearing the collar is enough to deter him from barking. Often we don’t even have it turned on and he has no idea and still stay really chill. He’ll growl at things that he wants to bark at sometimes but that’s about it nowWhich this ended up making it wayyy easier to train him on things like “quiet” - we were able to easily learn some of his triggers. Then when those happened, it was way easier for him to become more quickly composed in response to our command and get a treat!Battery life has been great so far! But we don't leave it on our dog all the time - usually he just wears it when we're both home and he wants to sit in front of the window or if my husband is going to play a video game that has monsters/ wolves which our dog would frequently react to seeing or hearing 😅 He can now happily stare out the window to his heart's content though and we don't have to worry about needing to figure out how to stop the barking spell or hold him to try to get him to settle down.I’d say that 2 weeks is a pretty accurate battery life description. He’s had this one which he just wears for a few hours each day and it’s probably been at least a month or so since I actually charged it last 😅TLDR: Overall great product. Humanely stops my dog from loud barking spells. Doesn't vibrate for growls, whines, or very quiet woofs. We very rarely had any issues with the collar being set off by anything other than him barking. Our home is peaceful once more - thanks for a great product!Update: had misplaced the charger, but my husband found it! 😅 Just search for 2DC / 2mm barrel jack cord and it should pop up. You can also search "Charger Replacement for Dogrook Bark Collar" and that should populate the one that is specific to this item. I have no idea why they don't have this listed in the product information itself, but hope that helps for anyone else that loses the charger!Edit to the update: looks like they’ve now added an additional link to the charger replacement! Little late for us 😂 but glad they’ve added it now!

    It works!

I was s little nervous about using this collar at first but I'm glad I did! We have a young Cane Corso named Samson and he was barking a ton in the middle of the night. It's summertime right now so he likes being outside better than being cooped up in his kennel all night. He used to yelp and cry in his kennel so we didn't mind having him sleep outside. At first he was quiet during the night, but then he found his voice. We weren't getting any sleep because of the constant barking. Not to mention it was probably pi ss ing off the neighbors. We put the collar on him and I stayed up late so I could see how he reacted to it. I didn't want him to panic and not have some comfort. When it corrected him the first time, he panicked a little. I was there to comfort him. He learned very quickly after probably the third time. Now he is quiet all night. I have it set at 1. He does not wear it during the day. I don't mind him barking during the day because, you know, he's a dog, and needs an outlet.Keep in mind, it is not an electronic shock. It is a strong vibration. The settings are a sensitivity to sound NOT strength in vibration. The vibration strength stays the same no matter what the setting is.He barks a few times, there is a couple of beeps, then 2 strong vibrations. The collar is sensitive to sounds so the higher the setting the more sensitive to sound it will be. We found that Setting 1 is plenty. We don't want other noises to set it off. I read in some reviews that when it is at a higher setting other dogs barking or loud background noise will trigger it. For us, setting 1 is enough.Since this weekend is the 4th of July we didn't want the dogs to sleep outside. We put him in his crate. He yelped a few times and it corrected him. He was quiet for the rest of the night. The collar can be adjusted to fit your pet. There are prong attachments for long haired dogs. It works best if the box is on the bottom side of the dogs throat. There is no remote. It relies strictly on sound.Overall this collar has served its purpose and helped us keep our sanity. The battery lasts several nights. We do not feel that it is inhumane since it doesn't cause pain. It is a correction that he responded well to. I would recommend it for a large breed dog. Given the strength of the vibration I would NOT put it on my small 5 pound dog. I hope this review helps!

Great Training Tool and will Save Your Sanity

I have a Jack Russell that has taken to frenetically barking and nearly everything. I have tried many methods to try and quiet him down and none of it worked. I saw this product, and while I was a bit skeptical at first, I decided to get it as I was at the end of my rope on trying to control my dog's barking. This collar has helped SO MUCH! The first time my dog barked with the collar on, the vibrations diverted his attention long enough for me to get through to him and make him settle down. Now my command of, "Hush," actually holds weight, as the collar provides a consistently unpleasant (but safe/non-harmful) consequence for not listening. Utilizing the collar, command, and rewards for listening gives me solid hope that the collar will soon be mostly decorative. The collar itself has a pleasant and sleek design. At first glance it doesn't really look like an e-collar. The beep/vibrate module itself isn't too large for a 20lb dog and it doesn't affect his day-to-day flexibility. The collar does not have a D-ring, so it cannot be used for walking or attaching traditional ID tags. The battery lasts a while, especially once my dog started activating it less. It needs charged about every 2 weeks, and putting it on the charger before my dog takes a nap leaves the collar fully charged once he wakes up.The activation of the collar controls his barking without being too restricting or sensitive. It does not activate when he whines or growls (so he is still able to communicate) and Mode 3 allows him to alert bark (1 - 3 brisk barks) without the collar going off (though in this mode it will still keep him from escalating to frenetic barking). The collar also doesn't easily mistake other sounds for him barking (even in Mode 5), as my big dog has barked within 4 feet of him without activating the collar. There have also been moments where other traditionally loud sounds have been going on (door slams, hammers, loud voices) and the collar not activate. I'm guessing the environment would have to be significantly loud for the collar to go off and the likelihood of that happening in a typical household is small (this collar is turned off when he is outside of the house). I have also heard that this collar will not activate if the dog howls, but my dog is not a significant howler, and the collar did activate the one time he did howl with it on (though I will note that his howls always start with barks so that may be why). When the collar was first introduced, my dog had a single spell where he tested it pretty hard, so I want to point out that the beeping and vibration will vary/become more intense if your dog chooses to ignore the first beep/vibration. So just like with any other training tool I highly advise supervising your dog with it, so they can be shown what to do/how to stop the collar going off as I can see how this can freak out an unsupervised dog.All-in-all, this collar is really what my dog needed to show him that barking is not always necessary. Sometimes you can train a dog to settle down without a bark collar, but in the cases where those other methods are not working, this is the collar for you. This collar has really saved my sanity and it has allowed my dog to better understand exactly what I want from him. If there's one thing I dislike, I dislike the fact that I didn't get this collar sooner.

Well, that was a fast result!

My younger dog is a rescue, having been tossed out of two other homes before I got her. She has been a training challenge but worth it. The more only really bad thing is that she barks. A lot. At anything that excites her: food, birds, a leaf, etc. She has been mproved but the process has been slow. I just got this collar, charged it, set the sensitivity on the lower side so she can still vocalize, but when she started her "I want that" barking when I was fixing her supper--beep! I haven't seen her this quiet before a meal in forever.Edit: I want to add a bit more to this review. This is a good product and definitely good value for the money. However, there are some things that buyers should know.1. The controls are simple. This is both a strength and a weakness. It's a strength because it's easy to use. It's a weakness because you have no way of seeing the sensitivity level. The default setting is 4, but as far as I can see, there's not a way to reset the collar to get back to the starting point. In defense of the maker, you should be looking at how your dog reacts and whether the collar picks up on your dog's vocalizations or if it's so sensitive that it picks up on on any other dogs you may have in the house.2. It's best used in a single dog household. I have two dogs and my older dog tries to get my younger dog to stop barking by barking at her. This sets off the collar. I have decreased the collar sensitivity to account for this, but my older dog still barks at my younger dog on occasion. It's not fair to the younger dog to get corrected, so I need to turn the collar off when I am in a situation where the younger dog does not typically bark.3. The instructions indicate that the user should say "No!" to the dog to stop the dog from barking. No is a really silly thing to the dog. You can't teach behavioral negatives. No won't always mean "stop barking" and frankly, we all use "no" in a lot of situations. Dogs don't generalize. They may be startled by your "No" but they won't necessarily associate it with something as complex as "stop what you're doing right now." You are far better off figuring out why your dog is barking and then working on desensitizing your dog. My dog barks when she gets overstimulated: she wants something, she sees something, her environment changes in some way. She sees someone and wants to greet them (no one wants to greet a barking dog and they assume she's aggressive). The first order of business for me was to ensure my dog had a choice. I used a lot of the techniques out of Control Unleashed to get my dog to calm down. The collar is used to keep her from going into a feedback loop where she barks, reinforces her barking, and basically goes into bark-fest mode because she doesn't know what else to do. She's quickly learned that she doesn't have to go into barking mode. Instead of telling her "NO" when she barks, I'm now able to reward her for when she's chosen to be quiet--say when a new person walks by or when she sits quietly waiting for breakfast.Ideally, you should use this as part of a larger training plan that helps you address the underlying triggers for the barking rather than merely correct the dog for barking.

I was very against this device, but . . .

I am a big believer in positive reinforcement only for dog training, and I was very against using a device like this as it delivers a negative reinforcement to the dog. Also, preventing a dog from barking can lead to the dog becoming more fearful and nervous (leading to unpredictable behavior); this is because barking can be an important communication, defense, and signaling mechanism for a dog. But we recently adopted an 8-year old Labrador from a friend whose husband had died and she has cancer and can no longer care for him. We absolutely LOVE him, but he has a huge, loud, scary bark which hysterically upsets my son with Autism. We tried other behavior modification techniques first, but they didn't work. Our dog barks at squirrels and is terrified of fireworks. But my son was breaking down and started not sleeping at night, worrying about whether the dog would bark in the middle of the night. So, I broke down and bought this. I've only had it one evening so far, but IT WORKED INSTANTLY AND ON THE LOWEST SETTING. In fact, I don't even think the buzzing kicked in; I think the pre-buzz beeping sound did the trick. IMPORTANT NOTE: after it beeped and my dog immediately ceased barking, I also immediately had some pieces of kibble to reward him, and use a happy praising voice with him - THUS CONVERTING THE NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT INTO A POSITIVE ONE. Again, have only used it one night, but I was just stunned at its immediate effectiveness, and we all slept last night. ANOTHER NOTE: I will not use it outside so that my dog can always bark and "defend" himself outdoors, and will only use it indoors in the evenings when the barking is at its worst and scariest for my son. THIS IS A TRAINING TOOL, NOT A PERMANENT COLLAR. Dogs are smart; he will understand that in the evenings indoors with the family, he needs to be quiet, but that other times (like when the doorbell rings during the day) and outdoors, its ok to bark. BE WISE WHEN USING THIS. I knocked off 1 start for instructions that are not very clear (why is the default setting at #4 when the instructions recommend starting at level 3? And we actually started at level 1 because his bark is so loud we didn't think we needed much sensitivity for the sensor to pick up the signal) and for the fact that it is inherently a negative reinforcement tool to begin with. But sometimes a person needs to operate outside the playbook.

First day magic fades over time

The day I received this anti-bark collar, I thought it worked like magic and I was tempted to write a review saying it may be the best purchase I've ever made from Amazon, but I figured I should wait a few weeks to make sure. Listening to my dog yapping as I write this, I am no longer going to give quite as glowing a review. My wife and I have a Pomeranian (aka Mr. Annoying) that was actually quiet for the first 2 years of his life, that is, until we got a second dog and he decided it's his job to be a play by play announcer for everything that is going on. Now he yaps and more. We were looking at the ant-bark collars but they mostly have sound, vibrate, and shock. The barking is annoying but we don't want to shock him and we are skeptical of the claims that the shocks are harmless. So we got this one (it's the only one we've tried). I originally wanted one that had a remote control. This one doesn't but I have come to think that doesn't matter. The sound is played very quickly after a bark. I think that is why it works. It confuses him. I wouldn't be able to do it so fast manually with the remote. So anyways, the first day we put the collar on him and it was magic. He stopped barking immediately and seemed to know not to bark after that. Even when we took the collar off, he didn't bark. It was perfect. We put it on the other dog, and it also worked on her. We bought another collar for my mom's dog. After a couple days, it stopped working on the second dog, though, but it still worked on Mr. Annoying and that was the key anyways. It worked on him for about 2-3 weeks. But eventually (starting a week ago), we also learns to ignore it. It still works better than nothing, but if he gets really barky then he just barks through it. We don't really use the vibrate part. (we don't have a tight on his neck, so the vibrate just makes noise, it doesn't choke him) but maybe we'll have to try that next. This only has one sound and one volume. It plays the sound longer and longer, but it's the same sound. I wish they had other sounds, because I think if we switched the sound, the new sound would confuse him for a while and buy us some more (quiet) time.
