I loved this litter box so much I purchased another one. We care for a number of cats, all adjusted very well to using it when we followed the manufacturer's recommendations when introducing them to the box. It is very quiet, light weight, well made and I feel confident that it is safe to use with my cats. For anyone worried about all the negative reviews that auto litter boxes have received, this box operates with an open lid and motion is slow, affording plenty of time for the cat to exit the box if needed. But it is designed not to activate when the cat is present. You can set up auto cleanings or timed post use. And the box notifies me when the cat has used it. It can even be set up to recognize your cat. Scooping has become hard using my dominant hand, this box has made such a different for me. Oh, and the customer service is very responsive and quick to answer any questions you have.
The M1 is my first automatic kitty litter box, and I genuinely dont know why I didn’t invest earlier. I was definitely still skeptical of all auto litter boxes, but I caved and got one. I have been skeptical since the first ever automatic box ever came out, and just fell off on trying to even waste money on it…but now that’s it’s honestly been ~10 yearsish, I took the risk and am so happy I did.My apartment doesn’t smell like stinky kitty peepee or stale/fresh poops anymore!!! It’s so easy to change the waste baggies, and it holds a good amount.I have two cats, one is a big girl 12lbs, and has big ole pee bricks when I clean the litter box, it definitely can handle her large pees and stinkooo poop.It took like a good 2ish weeks and patience and positive reinforcement from myself and my boyfriend.I’m able to see both my baby’s almost clockwork routine of bathroom visits. It keeps track of their weight too!Doesn’t leak from the waste bin, and it calibrates itself when litter is added.Assembly was just snapping the sides into the base, easy peasy.Only issue I need to come up with a solution for is not getting the litter all over the floor around the m1 litter box.Highly recommend.
I have been on a journey to find the best automatic litter box for our situation. I have to keep the litter box in my living space so I really wanted something that had excellent odor control. I also wanted something that would be whisper quiet and have the capacity to except do not disturb times. I did a ton of research and everything pointed to this litter box. At first we had some issue with the right kind of litter or so I thought, but it does now seem to be working just fine with our old bentonite clay litter that we used to use in our previous litter box. Beyond that initial issue, it has been a dream. It is so quiet and it does such a good job of odor control for my two cats who use it constantly. How do I know they use it constantly? Because the app that goes along with it actually tracks everything for me. Once I entered in my cat's information and the setup process, it now weighs them every time they use it and keeps track of how long they're in there. It's so great for keeping up on their health. The only little minor issue I had with it is that they are still on the younger side and they weigh pretty much the exact same. So sometimes the litter box has difficulty distinguishing one cat from the other. However, I know that will change as their weights diverge as they get older. It does a great job of cleaning up and it is excellent at conserving litter. It just scoops out the clumps and levels out the rest each time it's Auto cleans. I also was able to connect it to Amazon Alexa. There was initially a little bit of a difficulty getting My account to link with the skill, but it seems to be working great now. Overall I am so pleased with this litter box and my cat seem to love it as well. They had no issues with being afraid because it's just not loud. Loud. Also because it's an open top. Couldn't be happier and I will be recommending this to everyone I know looking for an automatic litter box.
I have used every self cleaning litter box out there - the common manual ones where you have a sifting tray or you roll the litter box over to not so common which looked like some kind of dump truck system you had to crank. I’ve also used all the electric ones - the rakes, the rollers, the washing litter - there isn’t a system I haven’t tried. If I wanted to depress myself I’d take a picture of the pile of money sitting in my garage in self cleaning cat box form. So many tried, so many failed. Either they were too complex, they made a huge mess, the smell was awful, they were a pain to empty, they were a pain to clean, just stopped working, they took up massive amounts of space, or the cats refused to use them. Or some combination of all of the above. But I am an inherently lazy person who loves cats and a good gadget, so when I saw this new self-cleaning box I was overcome with a Gollum like desire to own one. This would surely be the self-cleaning cat box of my dreams.Shockingly, it almost is. You still have to empty a drawer once a week or so - the poop doesn’t magically disappear - but in the month I’ve owned it, I’ve been more than pleased with the purchase. It’s very easy to set up. You just put the legs on. They’ve done proper design - you can only insert the posts in the correct place. You download the app and follow the very clear directions for pairing the box with your phone. You add your cats in the app by weight - the box will do an exact weight later, so you can just take a guess at the moment. And that’s it.There’s tons of options for set up on the box - you can turn the sound on or off, there’s a kitten mode, you can set up the time between use and clean or if you just want it to run at certain times, and a quiet time where it won’t run at all.My cats were a tad suspicious of the box that moved on its own as you can see from the picture. I didn’t run it on auto at first. I’d track when they used it - you can tell when the cats were just looking in the box and when one actually got in. And based on the length of time in the box, you could also tell if the used it or were just checking it out. Then I ran it only when I was in the room too. After about a week I started using the app to run it when I was in the next room. So the cats could hear it start and go check and see I wasn’t concerned. After a couple days of that, I put it on auto. Because the app allowed me to see they were using the box like normal, I didn’t have to worry they’d boycotted the box and found a corner in a closet. The white cat is still highly suspicious and convinced there’s a critter in there she might need to kill (she’s a mighty indoor only hunter) so she’ll check around the box while it’s running. When she tries to look in the box during the cycle, it stops and waits until she’s finished examining everything and then will continue after she’s been clear 10 seconds. It also moves very slowly and in short stages which alleviates any concern that one of them might get caught somehow.Because of the white cat’s abiding suspicion, she often digs in the litter to see if there’s something hiding in there after the cycle runs, pulling litter out of the box. But a handy mat was included with the box that allows the litter to fall into it and you can just dump it back into the box without worrying about tracking it everywhere.I can also tell by looking at the app that she will only use the box when there is light in the bathroom, so I’ve started leaving the bathroom light on for her and get her a little night light by the box. It’s really nice to be able to track things like that. The app will also tell you when the waste bin is full. With two cats that’s about every 5-6 days. The drawer is easy to access and the bags are easy to replace. You just want to make sure you don’t trap air under the bag or the box might register the bin full before it is.It doesn’t take up much more space than a regular box and you can put it really close to the wall. There are only two issues I have with the box. One is the height. My striped cat has stumpy legs and needs a small step to get in the box. The step you can buy from them is crazy expensive for what it is. The other is the bags provided for the bin don’t shut fully after they’re full. I have to put the full bin bag in another small trash bag so I can tie it closed to keep the smell down. But neither issue is overly onerous to deal with, so I’m not put out. Certainly not a big deal compared to all the positives. Is it expensive? Yes. I got mine during Prime Days and there was a good discount, but it’s still pricy. However, it totally delivers on keeping the litter box clean and the cats happy while being very easy to use. I’d make the purchase again in a heartbeat.
UPDATE: it started to say the bag wasn’t in place and than all heck broke loose and all the lights started flashing and it wouldn’t clean. I’m on day 5 of no litter box (this one) it replaced about 6/7 of my litter boxes so this is a pain in the butt. BUT customer service was very quick to answer and send me over the broken part to replace. We will see how fast it comes. Still five stars, just a little annoyed at myself for removing so many normal litter boxes and only counting on an electric one.Only took two days to receive new bottom replacement piece so that was wonderful. Customer service is great and I will still be buying another one but I will be keeping a few litter boxes still.ORIGINAL:I have ten cats. So I have ten litter boxes that I clean twice a day. I’ve researching these for a while now and came to the conclusion that this is the best of the best for my cats. The Prime day deal on this was way too amazing to pass up. My cats took to it immediately. They aren’t even touching their normal ones anymore. So I just keep up with the litter which I add some every morning and switch the bag as well every morning. I could go a day or two longer without switching I’m sure but I have no interest in the smell and I have enough cats that luckily I’m not wasting bags. There is zero smell. I ordered a shark pet odor air purifier (again CRAZY deal on that too!), it hasn’t showed up yet and honestly I’m not even worried about it. The litter boxes are up stairs in a room with ventilation and this box is under the stairs in a play closet set up for the cats, which is in my living room (I thought for sure I’d be moving it upstairs to the litter box room because I can not stand the smell of litter) and it doesn’t smell. I also use Tidy Cats free & clean. Best litter I have ever used. You literally can not tell I have cats. So that litter with this box is top notch. I will be eventually ordering two more.I forgot to add that the app is really great too. It will let you know if there is enough litter in the box. How full the litter bin is. You can set it up to your liking. It tells you how long your cat was in there for and how much you cat weighs You can make a profile for each cat so it tracks their potty habits. I have too many cats to sit here and set that up.****Update after three days of owning this, all 10 cats pretty much only use this. With 10 cats I change the bin every 24 hrs because it is full. As stated above, I hope to eventually purchase at least two more.Update***** it’s now next month. And yes, I am dedicated to letting people know what’s up lol. This is the best. I take it apart once a month to give it a good scrub. The things where all the litter goes, those unscrew so that you can get a great clean on this thing. Also as it’s cleaning the box, I like to take a rag to it as it’s cleaning itself because I’ve noticed ‘stuff’ can get on it. I’m still obsessed. As are my cats. I’ve been able to remove five normal litter boxes from upstairs. They barely use the five up there anymore. They’re OBSESSED with this box. I really need to get another one. Worth absolutely every single penny and could not possibly be a happier 10 kittie owner household.UPDATE: I’ve had this for a few months now and it is amazing. I take it apart and wash it twice a month, I change the bag everyday (I have to with so many) and still no smell. I never had to move the litter box from the main floor because I can’t smell it. My cats all still love it. I do recommend only using their bags. I tried a garbage bag when I ran out and you can then smell the dirty litter. So their bags are worth every penny in my opinion. I still plan to purchase two more in the future.

Long but worth the read to know how to get your cats to use it. I chose this automatic litter box because of the open top. I have a male sphynx who has a long body and weighs 10 lbs and I also have a small female sphynx who weighs 6 pounds. My male does this crazy looking thing where he stands up on his hind legs and holds onto the side and pees. I had a feeling the enclosed litter robot might not work for him. I’m using the arm and hammer hard ball litter in this and it works wonderfully. The smell of this litter is amazing!! My whole room smells nice. Sphynx cats eat more than other cats and they are stinky when they poop! They can clear a room! The only time I smell the box is while they’re pooping and I never smell it again. I have this box set to turn over the poop to make sure it’s coated good and then clean and dump it 7 minutes after they get out! It’s perfect timing for my cats. It gives it time to clump and then dump. When I first started setting it up which is a breeze to do btw, my male kept jumping in it like it was a box to play in. I had to remove him 3 times to finish. I activated it to level the litter and he was fascinated with the movement and watched it. I removed their old breeze box completely out of sight and placed this new one in the exact same spot that the old box was. This is gross and graphic but it’s how you need to do it: The way you get them to use it is, you take a decent sized, coated with old cat litter turd out of your old box, you can use a glove, but I just used a few paper towels and picked the biggest one out before throwing the old box away. It was pretty dried so it broke up into 3 pieces when I went to put it in the new litter which worked out because I planted and slightly buried with the tops still showing slightly in 3 places spaced out in the new litter box. Make sure your new box here is set to manual instead of automatic so that it doesn’t dump your turds you just planted right away. If you have multiple cats, you can set it back to automatic AFTER ALL your cats have done their business. My male sniffed and quickly realized that this is not a box to play in but a box to do his business. He cautiously climbed up in it and scratched around and finally positioned himself which I took a picture of. My female was sleeping at the time, so she hadn’t had a chance to notice the new box yet, so the old turds and his business he just did was left in there. When she woke up, she went to the area and just stood there and looked at it for a couple of minutes but then she started smelling and inched closer to get a better whiff and check it out. Now, she’s pretty tiny so when she went to climb in, she struggled a little because it’s taller than what she’s used to. I need to find a small step but I haven’t found one yet that I can place in front of it on the mat to help her. I left her alone tho and didn’t help her because she was in the mood to use the box so I didn’t want to distract her or have her associate having to go with any disruptions so I let her struggle and pull herself up in there. She did the same thing he did, smelled for awhile and scratched around a bit and then she peed. I let her take her time getting out and go on about her business and then I turned the automatic on a few minutes later. Both cats just watched it move and it was very quiet so I didn’t bother them at all. They have used it every time like normal since and that was last Friday when I got it. I decided to check the drawer 4 days later and it was time to take the bag out and put a new one. Just DON’T open the drawer until you’re ready to change it because, it’s stinky when you open it. The drawer is sealed very well though and contains the smell so you only smell it when you open it. I’ve never smelled it at all before when walking by the box. I decided every 4 days was a good time frame to check and change the bag for my two cats so I set a 4 day reminder in the app. I love how you can just cinch it up and throw it away and the bags aren’t cheap. They are heavy duty! God!! That’s so easy and quick! I love it!! I may change litter but I love the smell of this one so much that I don’t want to. My male is a wild man getting out after he does his business. I guess he feels so good and light that he just barrels out of there so he flings. The mat is great though! I just fold it up a little on the sides once a day and dump it back in the box. I put another rug on the other side of the mat to catch anything in case he jumps out and over which he almost always does. That is working well. I was a little nervous about making this investment but it’s the best decision I’ve ever made for my cats and sooo worth it! I’ll never go back to sifting turds out everyday again!
so far its great getting my cats used to it and to use it is taking some time but 2 out of 4 are using it so far i love it but we have to have newer phones to use the app my cats act like its a monster thats going to eat them its so funny to watch im disabled so it helps me i love only having to replace the bag once in a while and after it rotates to clean its self there is no odor so we have it in the living room so its good quality for the money
I'm very happy with this purchase. I needed an auto cleaner litter box but most of them are so dangerous and kill cats. This one is different. I have watched as my very curious girl will wait for the box to start its cleaning cycle, and then she puts her paws on the front to play with it. The box immediately stops. The sensors are very sensitive and are doing a great job. Also, this box is open on top and the way it cleans is a process of moving slowly back and forth before finally turning all the way. And there is not space for a normal size cat to get stuck. It is also sensitive enough that even a kitten touching it would stop it.So I'm happy.I have an aggressive digger who flings the litter out of the box, but the litter trap mat it comes with catches it. I can then pour the litter back in. I did purchase the litter guard and that is being delivered tomorrow.I also like that this box can be set to clean after every use, or on a schedule like every 3 hours, or i can turn off the auto clean and just press the clean button when i want to throughout the day. The options make it customizable to your needs. I have several cats of varying sizes. Smallest is 6 lbs and the largest is 25 lbs. This works! The app tells you the weight of the cats and how many times they use the box per day. It also tells you when to add litter and when to empty the refuse tray.I recommend this box!
Absolutely love this!! It has quickly become our favorite brand, even over the Litter Robot. We have a litter robot 3 and a litter robot 4 but I actually like this brand better. It’s sooo much easier to clean and take care of verses the litter robot brand. We do however use the litter robot brand bags with this product. The bags that come with this brand are thin but the litter robot brand bags are thick and work perfect with this brand. If you are on the fence this litter robot brand wins every time. Our cat is 11 pounds, he’s 4 years old and he got right in and had plenty of space. He actually has more space in this one than the litter robot brand. We also purchased the step and it works great with catching the litter. Our cat adjusted immediately and the setup was a breeze. This is definitely our favorite now.
Been using this for almost a year now and I love it but there are some design flaws that make me not want to give 5 stars. The trap door/bin design is the biggest flaw since all the waste drops in the back and stays in the back filling it up, causing the robot to think it’s full when it’s not. So every 6 days or so I’ll have to shake the bin and level out the poo which is super annoying especially if I’m on vacation and don’t want to ask the cat sitter to shake the poo 😭 and if it thinks it’s full, it just stays upside down and will freeze until you fix it. The sensor can also get dirty thinking it’s full when it’s not. Despite these issues it’s been working great. The app is a little weird but gets the job done. I have two adult cats and have to empty every 7-8 days. Both love using it but litter gets everywhere but hey that’s the life we chose
NOTE: I had the Robot Whisker 3, which I grew to hate because it had too many faulty sensors issues. It's literally sitting in my balcony and I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of it.I thought about getting the Whisker5 but then saw you *need* a subscription AND people complain it has more sensor issues??? And some of the whisker sensors are truly pointless, like the bonnet. It blows my mind that the cellphone I'm typing this on can send signals to space and back, but we apparently can't have a rotating drum of cat poop.So I was really hesitant about trying another one if these, but after months of the robot whisker just getting stuck in this half cycle positions (and yes, I washed the entire thing in my bathtub, sensors and all included it was disgusting)... I was just done.First let me say, if you are new to robot litters, they are absolutely worth it because 1) you use less litter, so the ROI can actually be calculated if you care to. 2) it makes life 100..000xx easier. I have never regretted not scooping or coming back to a smelly place. What I like about the neakasa M1 is that it appears to have fewer sensors and basically rotates in one direction, it's a simpler design = it's exactly what the robot whisker should have been. Just rotate the poop out, and rotate the litter back in. THAT'S IT. I'm getting one for my sister and one for my mom.AND IT'S way more affordable. I wish I had gotten this instead.TLDR GET THIS.
Really good quality. Doesn't smell bad even if it's holding used litter inside for a week, you can't smell it through the box. It holds a fair amount of litter and love that it evens out whenever you fill it or empty it out. It does get kind of dirty quickly due to it rotating the litter on the hood of the machine. Super convenient when it comes to cleaning it because you just grab the bag at the bottom and replace it. My 16lbs cat has enough room to use it. A lot of settings on the app to customize how it works. It does close if the garbage bag is completely full which can prevent cats from using. This was annoying because it would happen while I'm away at work, so I had to turn this feature off so my cats wouldn't be left without a place to use.
Love this litter box, auto clean & app on my phone! We do have a 7 and 18 year-old cat. It took a few days to acclimate them from a regular cheap litter box, but it was not as bad as I had expected. You do have to clean out the dump tray at the bottom every few days and add new litter. Be sure to check those before leaving for a few days. I forgot once. There is not any smell unless you don’t empty the bottom dump tray. I have only had to clean out all of the litter once in 3 months! Love the ease of the bottom dump tray because it’s cleaner litter for our cats, and it’s not as heavy as dumping an entire litter box like we did before. You use less litter so the price for box is high, but I use at least 50% less kitty litter. It works great for two cats. There is less litter mess overall. We did buy a step up because of our older cat. I love the convenience of being able to leave for a few days & not have to worry about a mess when I return home. Our part Maine coon cat weighs 25 lbs and she is good with the litter box size but I’m sure how a bigger cat than that would do.
I have been using this about 8 months. It does what it is designed to do. However, if you want it to stay scratch free and always have a clean appearance, it doesn't. I use the typical clumping litter. The waste clumps scratches the hard plastic backwall as it dumps into the waste pan. Even though the litter says 99% dust free, the urine cements clay particles to the soft plastic bottom so it is difficult to remove. If at all. Its like glue or cement to the soft plastic. I cleaned and rinsed 2 times and let it soak for an hour. I used my finger nail to see if it would come off. It didn't. Maybe it would've if I washed it every week?? Idk. I don't have time for that. Also when the litter box dumps, it piles up in the back. So it stops the litter box from returning to normal position if the clumps past a certain point in the waste bin. When that happens your cats can't use the litter box unless a human hand shakes the waste tray down or somehow evenly distribute the clumps for the tray to return to the normal position. When you just changed the trash bag out, its fine to use the automatic dumping of waste until a day or 2 later, depending on cat(s) usage. I press the clean button once in the am and once in the evening. Sometimes litter and pee get in the seams between the soft and hard plastic in the front. Sometimes small hard poop don't get dumped, it just rattles and pops out when the litter gets shifted back into position. I don't have a great sense of smell. Sometimes I don't smell anything and sometimes I do. I feed them raw diet now to decrease stool and its smell. I have 2 litter boxes. They prefer this one. The other one is the usual litter box and scooper. They have been using it since they were about 4/5 months old. They are a year old now. 7 to 8 pounds each. Both of them can fit in there at the same time. Not ideal but sometimes they get in together for some reason. I like the app that you can use with it and see who used and how many times and their weight. And who was up at what time at night ..possibly up to mischief...Would I buy another one?...nah. I don't want to spend that much money again. do I like it ? yes. If it broke down, I would have to think about the pros and cons, space, location, my OCD before I buy again.
